Years back talking about hormones, menopause, erectile dysfunction or anything related was consider a no-no. Kinda like talking about the birds & bees, it was considered private and not to be spoke of outside of home. Hormonal change is a normal process as we go through puberty, have children, and as we age, but very common our hormones become unbalanced. Sometimes the signs are delayed or symptoms mild. The average person tends to dismiss what is happening or does not even realize it is hormone related.

As we age, so does our body, skin and hair. Our joints ache and bones soften. The production of collagen & peptides slows down. Cellular regeneration declines, and the reproduction of hormones declines. We lose muscle mass discovering extra flab that was not their before. Adipose & Visceral tissue becomes more dense and it is harder to lose that extra weight. Our moods change increasing feelings of depression, anxiety or both. Learning about preventative care and allowing extra time for ourselves, we can age beautiful, glow bright and feel great. It does not matter what your age is, now is the time to start taking care of you.

The topic of peri-menopause, menopause, and post menopause and hysterectomies are a delicate subject for a lot of women. There are many options that are safe that you can discuss with your health care provider. Personally I prefer bio-indentical HRT, it mimics our natural hormones that your body once produced. Always discuss with your doctor first what is best for you. If you have or are experiencing any of the medical conditions listed then you probably have noticed a lot of changes physically and mentally. Weight gain, skin and complexion, hair texture or thinning, moods fluctuation, muscle tone loss, night sweats or lack of a good nights sleep? The list can go on and on, but it does not have the control you. You are not alone and this is not the end, just a new chapter in life. There is vast amount of knowledge on these subjects, and many options to make aging a beautiful process.
